Despite his age Remington has attracted a legion of supporters, including Emmy-winning television host Aurea McGarry, who met him when someone nominated him to be honored at her “Live Your Legacy” event. “Anything I can do for him, I will. An award-winning, polished and engaging speaker, Remington has been invited to speak at over 50 venues in the Southeast since the beginning of 2012, leaving audiences of up to 1,000 people amazed, motivated and inspired! He has spoken alongside Georgia’s Lieutenant Governor, Congressmen and Senators – to schools, churches, business and other organizations. He has been featured in newspapers and magazines, and interviewed on both national and local radio and television shows. He co-hosts “Difference Makers” radio, which spotlights individuals who are making a difference. He is an on-going guest on The Ken Coleman show for a segment entitled, “The World According to Remington Youngblood”, and is currently working on his first book, entitled “Why My Voice – and Yours – Are Important.” Remington is enrolled in advanced classes, is on a Public Forum debate team and Student Council, and is the President for his middle school’s Builders Club, a Kiwanis organization for middle school students. While doing all of this, he still makes time for friends and extracurricular activities. He has two first-degree black belts (Karate and Tae Kwon Do); enjoys fishing, rock climbing, golfing and participating in 5k races and triathlons.

Georgia Governor Nathan Deal: Governor Deal commends Remington for his achievements and work through Change 4 Georgia. Specifically, building his program to be inclusive of students and striving to meet the needs of active duty and veteran children. In his Commendation, Governor Deal states, “Remington has set an outstanding example through his efforts…”; “…he has already distinguished himself as a leader, compassionate philanthropist, and extraordinary American. He has brought great pride to his family, community, and state.” House of Representatives Resolution – Georgia House of Representatives, Sponsored by Mark Hamilton, Mike Dudgeon, John Yates, Geoff Duncan, Al Williams, Christian Coomer: Recognizing and commending Remington Youngblood and Change 4 Georgia for their efforts and impact in helping soldiers cope. Kiwanis International First Place Speech and International Leadership Awards – The speech Topic was, “What Builders Club Has Taught Me About Leadership”. The Leadership was recognition for work through Change 4 Georgia, in helping the troops overseas and veterans and their families here at home.
